We slept in this morning until 6:15AM! We got up and grabbed beignets and coffee from Cafe du Monde for our ride. It turns out that powder sugar treats are harder to eat in the car than you might imagine.
On the drive today I learned to perfect the technique of allowing just the right amount of my mouth to flap in the wind out of the window. We went through Mississippi and Alabama, stopping only for gas and to take pictures of some sort of funky plant that stuck to my fur.
When we got to Nashville it was COLD for the first time on our adventure. We stopped by Third Man Records so my dad could geek out at all of the Jack White paraphernalia. He quickly became uncomfortable with how expensive every item was and left with a t-shirt.
On to Jamina's house! We arrived at Jamina's and I immediately ran about 50 circles in her back yard. Boy was it good to stretch. Then it was cousins and kids galore. I got to meet all the Carders and their offspring, as well as some more McNally/Rohlich relatives. It's great to have so much loving family along the trip, everyone has been so nice and spoiled me rotten.
At the end of the night cousin Dane took some pictures of us for his US365 project he is working on. Check out the link for his amazing photography!
Tomorrow, it's VA or bust.

Kima, you have to try to Cafe du Monde at the Kyoto Station. Make them take you there.
